Transition Instructions
We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet’s digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.
Great dog food –
I love Royal Canin. We switch up between this and the Science Diet weight support for Dachshunds when he needs it and it doesn’t upset his tummy. He likes the small kibbles and his coat is so shiny, good muscle tone, overall very healthy pup because of the high quality of the food.
Only food you should consider –
My babies Milo and Violet have been on this food since I got them at 4 months ago. They are piebald mini siblings. They just turned one year old and everytime I take them to the vet or to daycare, I get so many compliments and questions because they are so healthy and their ears are clean and backs are straight and they have such a shiny coat. Never will I ever consider feeding them anything else!
